Do You Know That Low Calories Spreads Do Exist?

Low-Calorie Diet:

Sandwiches- Sandwiches are one of the most popular snack food all over India. They are easy to make, ready in minutes and are perfect for calming your hunger for a short while. But sandwiches can increase your calories very quickly. The bread in sandwiches is made from flour that can be bad for your diet. Another ingredient that may add a lot of calories in your sandwich is the spread. The spread which we buy from the supermarket also contains a lot of salt and hidden sugar. These spreads also contain artificial flavours and preservatives that can affect your health.

Following are some sandwich spreads to add to your low-calorie diet-

1.Hummus- It is made from chickpeas, sesame seeds and olive oil. Hummus is rich in protein and fats and it is extremely flavourful. You can use a number of vegetables like cucumber, tomato slices etc.

2.Mashed Avocado- The savoury fruit has a creamy texture and can be spiced with a number of spices and herbs. Avocado mash works as a great healthy spread for both sweet and savoury sandwiches.

3.Ricotta Cheese- It is the healthiest cheese of Italy which is creamy, rich as well as healthy. You can mix it with spinach leaves.

4.Mashed Berries- If you like your sandwich to be sweet, you can use a berry mash. All you need to do is to prepare this mash by mixing all your favourite berries, add honey to sweeten them and mash it together to get a paste. The mash will not disturb your low-calorie diet.

5.Homemade Peanut Butter- Another great spread for sweet sandwiches is a nut butter like peanut butter or almond butter. You can add some banana slices to the mix, and sweeten it further by drizzling some honey on top.
A low-calorie diet is one that restricts your intake to one thousand two hundred to one thousand six hundred calories per day for men, and one thousand to one thousand two hundred calories per day for women. Some people go on a very low-calorie diet for rapid weight loss, often consuming only eight hundred calories a day.
